Reviewed on 13/03/2003. OK, I'll admit it. It's not the most
difficult read for an adult! That does nothing to diminish the brilliance
of J.K's writing style though. Once you are sucked into the world
of Harry, there's just no turning back. All you need to enjoy this
book is an open and willing imagination. |

Reviewed on 01/09/2003. An excellent follow-up to the first book. The
Chamber of Secrets can be read without first reading the original,
but it's advised not to do so. This book follows a similar story
as the first as Harry starts his second term at Hogwarts. The suspense
is well maintained and there is a clue as to who the villian is
- if you are sharp enough. |

Reviewed on 08/09/2003. A bit of a darker tale in this the third
book in the Harry Potter range. The characters are well developed
as Harry continues to develop his powers. More is revealed about
the death of Potter's parents as an escaped convict, seemingly intent
on killing Harry, forces tight security at Hogwarts. All is not
what it appears though, as even the new gatekeepers to Hogwarts
are potentially dangerous to the central character. The usual Quidditch
match is thrown in along with some new and interesting lecturers
and students. This is another hit for Ms. Rowling. |

Reviewed on 29/09/2003. Double the length of the previous Harry
Potter books, the Goblet of Fire is a meatier read. Prior to re-joining
Hogwarts, Harry and his friends are caught up in the excitement
of the Quidditch World Cup. It is here that the first signs of Voldermort's
increase in power and the rising of the "Dark" side first
appears. Voldermort plans his "re-surfacing" while the
Triwizard Tournament takes place. The finale is probably the best
yet in terms of suspense. |

Reviewed on 27/01/2004.The long awaited return of Harry Potter
finds the main character in trouble , even before the start of the
Wizard school. Lord Voldermort's followers form formidable foes
for the Order of the Phoenix - a secret order formed to ward off
the evil. Not all wizards believe in Harry's stories and this makes
life difficult for all at Hogwarts. Once again the finale is well
crafted and rivetting. One of the good guys also gets killed in
this book. You'll have to read it to find out!
